The Book of Rynn - in development

This project is meant to be a love letter to the 8-bit RPGs I grew up with in the late 80s and 90s, namely Dragon Quest/Warrior 1-4 on the NES console.

Developed for the Gameboy Color using GB Studio, a NES port may become possible in the future.

UPDATE January 23rd 2025

The first dev build GBC rom has been uploaded! There isn't much to do but here are the features:

• Walking around the overworld 
• Day/night cycle (120 steps for a full day)
• Random encounters (battles aren't implemented yet so just hit A a few times to skip)
  
• Visiting a small town and talking to NPCs
• Visiting a small cave up north!
