The Book of Rynn — NES JRPG Homebrew — in development

The Book of Rynn is a brand new, in development, homebrew RPG created for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), inspired by classic JRPGs like Dragon Warrior II–III–IV.

Explore the lands of Rynn, a world torn asunder by an ancient evil and healed after millennia, through multiple standalone adventures, each unfolding across different eras and regions:

• 3–5 self-contained stories featuring unique heroes, quests, and battles (tbd, depending on cartridge space)

• Turn-based combat inspired by the classics

• A world filled with history, legends, and secrets

• Original 8-bit soundtrack

• Playable on real NES hardware (via flashcarts, emulators, and physical cartridges)

Each chapter stands alone — there is no final chapter — offering different perspectives on the evolving history of Rynn.

Current Status:

• Look out for a demo Summer 2025

• Full release planned for physical NES cartridges.
